Matthew Rogers is an award winning film composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist. As a film composer he has composed numerous soundtracks for TV movies, documentaries, animations, feature films, short films, and television series. He has been nominated for ten Leo awards, winning the award five times. His Music has been featured on ‘The Good Wife‘, ‘CSI’, ‘Blue Bloods’, ’NCIS’, ‘Arctic Air’, and ‘How Do They Do It?’.
In the past decade Matthew has worked as a producer and arranger on over forty albums. His work has won five Western Canadian Music Awards. His own group, the renowned blues duo, The Harpoonist & the Axe Murderer have won a Sirius XM ‘Indie’, three Western Canadian Music Awards, and have been nominated for a Juno Award, and six Maple Blues Awards.
Matthew’ recently won a Leo award for his score to the feature length romantic comedy Adventures in Public School. The film was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award and was a TIFF 2017 Top Ten Canadian Film of the Year. Matthew is a graduate of the University of British Columbia Music Composition program as well as the renowned Capilano College Jazz Studies Program.
