Terry Benn
Terry Benn is a Canadian film and tv composer, music producer and guitarist. His musical career really kicked off as a guitarist, playing in punk and rock bands. It wasn’t long before he turned to music production, producing albums for over 10 years, working with acts such as The Glorious Sons, LETDOWN, and A Choir of Ghosts, amassing millions of streams on his work. Now, Terry is fully immersed in the world of scoring for motion pictures and television.
Terry frequently works with composer Michelle Osis. Together, they’ve scored 7 feature films, including: DARK MATCH (Dir. Lowell Dean), award winning SWAY (Dirs. Hamilton X Ramelan), THIS TOO SHALL PASS (Dir. Rob Grant), ABANDONED (Dir. Spencer Squire), and FIXATION (Dir. Mercedes Bryce Morgan, premiered at TIFF).
His recent TV credits include THE HAUNTED MUSEUM seasons 1+2 (Discovery) and URBAN LEGEND (Discovery). Terry’s imagination, experimentation, and intuition for tone, combined with his willingness to explore new genres and sounds, provides him a firm grasp on delivering music that inspires and enforces the director’s vision.
